For corporate and institutional investors seeking resilient strategies in uncertain times, don't miss this session. Join us to uncover the keys to successful investment in challenging landscapes
All indicators predict tough times ahead: Rising global inflation, the ongoing war in the Ukraine, the energy crisis and the shock in the banking sector initiated by the collapse of the Silicon Valley Bank are causing a difficult economic climate. As a result, the biggest tech ecosystems Germany, France and the UK further dropped their investment activity, the number of closed deals in Europe hit the lowest since Q3 2016 and VC fundraising slowed down significantly in Q1 2023.
Join this interesting panel discussion to hear about the current opportunities for (C)VC activities, why it could pay off to face the storm and how investment strategies may change in the future.
In the light of this situation, where it can be difficult to see a silver lining, PwC Germany invited Vesa Riihimäki (Head of Startup & Growth Business at Nordea), Terhi Vapola (Founder and Managing Partner of Greencode Ventures) and Matthias Odrobina (MD of Industrial Tech Investments at PwC Germany) to discuss their view on the market. Moderated by Florian Nöll (Global Corporate Venturing & EMEA Startups / Scaleups Leader at PwC Germany), the panelists will discuss the current opportunities for (C)VC activities in these uncertain times.
PwC's Slush side events in Siipi Conference Center are accessible without a Slush ticket.
